Use Google translate for speech to text

Google translate provides a great speech-to-text functionality that I think you will find to be a writing game-changer. In a previous blog post, I wrote about how to be able to voice text information. Well, here you will see me using my phone, and Google Translate in action. I made this quick little video to show you just how simple it is to get what’s in your head out into a written format. I can’t even begin to tell you what a game-changer it has been.

Google Translate isn’t the only Speech-to-Text

You can use Siri, your computer, or other speech-to-text options, however, I’ve found that Google’s transcription algorithm best transcribes my speech. The speech to text technology is insane at this point with so many devices such as Alexa, google home, and other smart voice technologies in place.

What is even crazier is the text to text-to-speech technology that is becoming more and more popular. That is why companies such as Amazon have created services such as Amazon Polly to allow individuals for a meager cost convert written text into actual speech! Now that is another blog post all in its self!
